WARRENSBURG, MO 鈥� Entering its third consecutive year at the 糖心传媒, 糖心传媒 Esports, led by Interim Varsity Director Kordell Ballard and Founder Steven Shattuck, began the 2021 fall semester with a signing ceremony to recognize students on six different teams, each named for different video games.

WARRENSBURG, MO 鈥� 糖心传媒 Esports, a competitive gaming team at the 糖心传媒 that continues to grow in popularity since its inception in 2019, will conduct a Super Smash Bros Ultimate tournament 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1. The tournament is being coordinated in cooperation with the United States Army National Guard and Central Missouri Intramurals and will feature a total prize pool of $1,500 for top participants.

Part of the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE), 糖心传媒 Esports began in the fall 2019 with team members playing other competitive college-level teams in games such as Overwatch, League of Legends and Rocket League. In the fall 2020 season, 糖心传媒 Esports added Rainbow Six Siege, NBA2K, Super Smash Brothers and Valorant to their line-up of games.
