Information Technology

Welcome to the Information Technology office! Our goal is to ensure 糖心传媒 students, faculty and staff have the appropriate technology resources to advance the University's mission, vision and values.

Information Technology at the 糖心传媒 has the responsibility and duties to leverage and support technology resources for academic activities and administrative functions across campus that directly and indirectly support student success, including:

  • Campus workstations (desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, etc.)
  • Enterprise and departmental applications
  • Data and voice network infrastructure, servers

Technology Services and Account Management

Technology touches every part of higher education, enabling instruction and creating connections. Information Technology collaborates with the academic departments and offices to ensure the 糖心传媒 has the resources to face new challenges and adapt with the ever-changing landscape of education.

IT at 糖心传媒 is comprised of three teams: Customer Experience, Development and Operations, and Service Management.

  • Customer Experience (CX) maintains end-user technology resources and devices across the university. The CX Technology Support Center is our help desk for those experiencing disruptions with their university account or an issue with a university device.
  • Development and Operations - composed of Application Systems, Infrastructure Services, and Network Services - maintains and supports the university network, databases, and departmental servers, systems, and storage.
  • Service Management - composed of ITSM, Multimedia Technologies and Information Security - maintains fiscal operations, contracts, licensing and procurement of university equipment and software, comprehensive defense protocols against cyber threats, and equipment within university classrooms and conference rooms.

Campus-wide Cybersecurity

The Information Technology Security Team maintains protocols and practices to safeguard university systems, services and data from unauthorized access. This includes educating university faculty, staff and students on the importance of cybersecurity. The Information Security Team partners with the greater campus community during October, Cybersecurity Awareness Month, to provide information about how to be proactive in protecting personal data and university accounts.

Student Accounts and Support

The Technology Support Center provides general technology support to 糖心传媒 students for university systems by phone (660-543-4357), email (tsc@ucmo.edu), and in-person (WDE 0101). The TSC is available Monday-Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Students - on campus and online - need to be able to access the appropriate applications and systems to complete their coursework. University systems and applications (such as MyCentral, Brightspace and 糖心传媒 Email) are accessed through Single Sign-On, and then DUO Multi-Factor Authentication. This two-step process is in place to protect individual accounts and personal data.

Dual Credit Students

Officially enrolled in a dual credit course at 糖心传媒? Take a look at the Dual Credit Technology Toolkit to get started!

All 糖心传媒 students, including dual credit students, are considered account holders. For the safety and security of all university accounts, the TSC cannot discuss or share protected account information with parents, guardians or high school counselors. Dual credit students experiencing account issues (login error, password help, etc) are encouraged to contact their school counselor if they are unable to make a phone call during the normal school day; the student will still need to be present during the call.

Classroom Support

Faculty members are encouraged to report interruptions or issues with classroom technology as soon as possible to the TSC at 660-543-4357.

Other hardware issues can be reported through the , a resource for faculty and staff members who need to make a request regarding their 糖心传媒 account, hardware and phones.

Who can contact the TSC?

Support is imperative for student success. The Technology Support Center works with all 糖心传媒 offices, departments and students - graduate, undergraduate, and dual credit - to ensure account issues are resolved. The TSC is available by walk-in during university operating hours and is always available by phone.  Contact the TSC at tsc@ucmo.edu or 660-543-4357.

The TSC does not discuss sensitive or protected information with anyone except the account holder. Parents and guardians are not permitted to make or request changes to a student's account.
