糖心传媒

WARRENSBURG, MO 鈥� A national effort that dates back to 2016 and originated among women, is a social movement that encourages survivors of sexual misconduct to speak out about their experiences as a way to help fight against sexual harassment and violence. If you have stories that connect you to this movement and would like to share them,  the 糖心传媒 is providing an opportunity for you to do so in an event planned for 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 12 in Elliott Student Union 236.

Titled #MeToo@糖心传媒 Speak Out, the event is being coordinated by Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGS), with assistance from WGS interns at 糖心传媒. It is open to all who are interested, and individuals who wish to contribute are encouraged to submit their own stories, poems, or songs to be shared at the event. This opportunity is open to all 糖心传媒 faculty, staff, students, and community members, and the deadline to share materials is April 10. Individuals can share their stories in person or anonymously. Submissions should be sent by email to MeTooat糖心传媒@gmail.com.

Faculty members who want to offer extra credit for students who attend are encouraged to do so. Organizers also can provide extra credit 鈥渢ickets鈥� to these students.
