Carson First at 糖心传媒 to Receive NIJ Grant: Will Pursue Study Contributing to Better Understanding of Left-Wing and Environmental Terrorism in U.S.

The principal investigator of a research project designed to develop data sources that could potentially inform law enforcement policy and counterterrorism efforts, Jennifer Carson, Ph.D., professor of criminology and criminal justice at the 糖心传媒, has been awarded a $506,497 grant from the National Institute of Justice (NIJ). This three-year financial award includes collaboration with faculty members at three other institutions in the United States and abroad.

It is estimated that nearly 3,000 糖心传媒 students meet federal TRIO program eligibility guidelines. For those who do, 糖心传媒 is extending an invitation to attend the Student Support Services (SSS) Center Open House, 1-4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, in Elliott Student Union 128.

Missouri Safety Center Collaborates with Agencies on 'Take 1 for Zero' Initiative

The Missouri Safety Center at the 糖心传媒 is teaming up with the Missouri School Boards鈥 Association and several other collaborating agencies for the 鈥淭ake 1 for Zero鈥 project, funded through the Missouri Department of Transportation Highway Safety and Traffic Division. The goal of the project is to make 鈥1鈥 major impact on roadway safety by focusing on school bus stop arm violations throughout Missouri.
